Hospice Billing Specialist

In this position, you’ll ensure that every claim, every record, and every invoice is handled with precision—making a direct impact on our ability to deliver compassionate care.

You must be local to the Tucson office. This is an in-office position, only. 

What You’ll Do

• Take charge of Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and insurance billing for hospice services.

• Review patient records, verify coding, and resolve discrepancies with confidence.

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims—turning challenges into results.

• Manage room and board billing for inpatient and facility care, ensuring accuracy and clarity for patients and families.

• Stay ahead of ever-changing regulations and keep our billing practices compliant and efficient.

• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, social workers, and administrators to support seamless care and accurate documentation.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in hospice billing is required. Medicare billing experience is a big plus.

• Knowledge of billing software and EMR systems.

• Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple priorities.

• Confident communicator who can partner with patients, families, insurance companies, and team members.

• Commitment to compliance and confidentiality with HIPAA standards.
